With a passion for interiors for as long as I can remember,  I made my way into the design industry twelve years ago working for textile giants Brunschwig & Fils and Kravet. Daily exposure to gorgeous fabrics, rugs & wallpaper fed a desire to start my own design business. After working with another Charlotte designer, I decided to make the leap and launched Tracey Chagnon Interiors in 2014. Each day I'm excited to work in a fun and creative field that allows me to impact the way people experience their homes. I was also thrilled to be voted Best Interior Designer in the Charlotte Observer's annual readers poll in 2019.

 

My goal for each project is to help elaborate on my clients tastes, letting their personality shine through in the details - all while creating a beautifully functional space. My specialty are those key elements that turn a house into a home - interesting furniture, window coverings, rugs and accessories. My love of travel, music, art & cultural exploration inspire my designs and bring the spaces to life.  Like designer Rose Cumming said, I believe that “a decorator should, in addition, be blessed with a sixth sense - a kind of artistic alchemy which endows the articles of furniture with the elusive quality of livableness which transforms houses into homes.”
